Guy is a comprehensive ophthalmologist here in Hobart with a special interest in medical retina. He was the top student in his year at the University of Melbourne Medical School and trained in ophthalmology in Melbourne with subsequent post fellowship training in medical retina, oculoplastics and paediatrics. He was involved in the original Anchor and Marina trials of antiVEGF treatment when medical retina research fellow at the Centre for Eye Research in Melbourne and has since then performed over 10,000 intravitreal injections. He consults at Hobart Eye Surgeons where he is involved with his colleagues in ongoing randomized controlled trials of new and alternative agents for AMD and diabetic macula oedema. He is trainer and supervisor of ophthalmology trainees at the Royal Hobart Hospital and on the RANZCO CPD committee.
