Since completing her optometry degree at Queensland University of Technology in 1984, Associate Professor Ann Webber has worked continuously in the profession of optometry, in clinical private practice, academic teaching, clinical research, and professional representation and regulation. In addition to clinical consulting, Ann holds Adjunct Associate Professor appointments at QUT and UNSW, maintaining her interest in clinical research that focuses on the functional impact of amblyopia, binocular perception and amblyopia treatment regimes, and interprofessional collaborative models of eye care service delivery. Ann consults within the Ophthalmology Department of the Queensland Children’s Hospital, serves on the Optometry Board of Australia, and also serves on the Editorial Board of Optometry and Vision Science. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and has been awarded Diplomate by the Binocular Vision, Perception and Paediatric Optometry Section of the Academy.
