This session will review some common situations in glaucoma care, using case based stimuli. Deciding when to initiate treatment, dealing with poor therapeutic responses, and discussing the decision to consider operative intervention are some of the topics that will be covered.

  • Knowing when to consider treatment initiation in ocular hypertension.
  • Know what options are available for primary treatment of glaucoma.
  • Develop an approach to the patient requiring changes in therapy.
  • Develop a broad knowledge of what surgical options are available in glaucoma and when they could be considered.
